DESCRIPTION
Tournament of the Castle is a Classic-level Buhurt International Melee tournament hosted by the Tidewater Dogs of War in conjunction with the Bacon's Castle Renaissance Faire, presented by Preservation Virginia.
The event will take place 7-8 November 2026 at Bacon’s Castle, 465 Bacons Castle Trail, Surry, VA 23883.
This year's tournament will feature Melees only.

FACILITIES
Bacon's Castle is one of the oldest documented brick dwellings in North America. Built in 1665, it is an exceptionally rare example of Carolean architecture in the New World.
Despite its name, Bacon's Castle is not actually a castle. Like many historic sites throughout the region, its history is also intertwined with the institution of slavery. Today, Preservation Virginia is committed to preserving the site while honoring the lives and stories of those connected to its complex past.

· Pay the required registration fee via PayPal (tidewaterdogsofwar@gmail.com, choose Friends & Family)
· Fill out the MCUSA Waiver Form: LINK
· Follow the Event Page for schedule updates and important announcements

If you are on the list, it's your own responsibility to make sure the requirements are met. If after registration you can't join the tournament, contact the host, so the can put your status to “Rejected”.

At the tournament you will be required to register at the host, every "valid" member has a QR code on there "fighter profile" only they can access it
Every person on a team can sign up the team for the event. If there is a requirement for the registration, it's the team's responsibility to make sure these are met!
